How to create a Simple Quiz
1. Start by selecting a campaign type and template and click "Continue". The Simple Quiz can be used with or without email collection. If you wish to collect email addresses as part of your quiz, make sure to select the “Collect email addresses” template. This template gives you the option to integrate your ESP (Email Service Provider) to the campaign.
💡 Pro tip: You can also choose between four themed quiz templates, which you can easily customize to match your company’s style. Look for the templates called “Simple Quiz” to get started.
2. When on the design find and drag the Quiz element into your campaign.
3. Click “Edit options” in the menu on the right to start creating your quiz.
4. In the "Questions" tab you can create and customize the questions your visitors will see. At the top of each question block, you enter the quiz question. Beneath the question field, you can upload an image or insert an image URL to visually support your questions.
You can enter as many question and answer choices as needed. Make sure to tick the box next to the "Correct answer" to mark the correct question.
5. Once you’ve completed all the questions, go to the "Results" tab to define what happens after a visitor finishes the quiz — based on how many correct answers they got.
Each row in the table represents a score group (based on the number of correct answers). For each score, you can configure:
Reward: A discount code or a message you want to show the visitor.
Headline: The main message shown to the user, e.g. "Great job — you know your stuff!" or "Good try, there’s always next time!"
Description: A short message to thank the user or give further instructions. For example: "Thanks for taking the quiz! Enjoy your reward below."
Once you’ve added all your questions and the results, click "Save settings" to apply your changes.
6. Use the Success step to show your visitors their results after completing the quiz.
By using dynamic merge tags (SiteData placeholders), you can display personalized messages based on each visitor’s answers and the result logic you defined in the "Results" tab above.
{{siteData:totalCorrect}} / {{siteData:totalQuestions}} Displays the visitor’s score, e.g. 3 / 4. {{siteData:rewardHeadline}} Shows the reward headline you've set for that score group, e.g. “Great job – you know your stuff!”.
{{siteData:rewardDescription}} Displays the supporting message or context, e.g. “Thanks for taking the quiz! Enjoy your reward below.”
{{siteData:rewardcode}} Displays the specific reward code tied to the result group.
7. You can easily adjust the look and feel of your quiz to match your website’s branding. To customize the design, go to the “Style” section in the menu on the right. For example; set the background color of your quiz questions, choose highlight colors to indicate correct and incorrect answers, adjust answer button styles, including colors, borders, and positioning.
In the bottom right corner, you can switch between each question to apply individual styling.
This allows you to customize the look of each question separately.
Once you’ve made your styling choices, click “Done” to apply the changes.
