Connect Sleeknote to ChatGPT as a custom app. ChatGPT only lets you add custom apps with Developer mode turned on, which is set up on chatgpt.com in your browser.
What you can do with the Sleeknote MCP
The Sleeknote MCP connects your AI assistant to your Sleeknote account. Instead of digging through the dashboard, you can ask questions about your campaigns in plain language and get answers straight away.
👀
For now, the Sleeknote MCP is read-only. Your AI assistant can look up your data, but it can't create, edit, activate, disable or delete anything in your account.
You can ask things like:
- "Which of my campaigns are active right now?"
- "Which campaign had the highest conversion rate last month?"
- "How is the split test on my newsletter popup performing?"
- "Summarize how my popups performed this week."
- "Compare my exit-intent campaigns and tell me which one works best."
This makes it quick to check performance, spot your best and weakest campaigns, and pull numbers for reports without exporting anything.
Step 1: Get your Sleeknote credentials
- In the bottom-left corner of the Sleeknote dashboard, click View settings under your email address.
-
Scroll down to MCP Client Credentials and click Generate credentials.
-
A window opens with your Server URL, Client ID and Client secret. Click Copy next to each one and store them somewhere safe, like a password manager. Then click Done.
⚠️
Copy your client secret before you click Done. Sleeknote only shows it once. If you lose it, click Regenerate credentials to get a new pair. Regenerating replaces the old credentials, so any AI tool still using them stops working until you update it.
Step 2: Turn on Developer mode
- In ChatGPT, open Settings > Apps.
- Open Advanced settings and switch Developer mode on.
On Business and Enterprise workspaces, an admin may need to allow Developer mode first.
Step 3: Create the Sleeknote app
- In Settings > Apps, click Create app.
- In Name, enter Sleeknote.
- In MCP Server URL, paste
https://api.sleeknote.com/mcp. - Under Authentication, choose OAuth.
- Open the advanced OAuth settings and set Client Registration Method to User-Defined OAuth Client.
- Paste your Sleeknote Client ID into OAuth Client ID.
- Paste your Sleeknote Client secret into OAuth Client Secret.
- If ChatGPT shows a Resource field, paste the same server URL:
https://api.sleeknote.com/mcp. - Tick the box confirming you trust this app, then click Create.
- Approve access when you're asked to authorize the connection.
Step 4: Use Sleeknote in a chat
- Start a new chat.
- Click the + button, choose More, and select Sleeknote.
- Ask ChatGPT something, for example: "Which of my campaigns had the most views last month?"
The Sleeknote MCP is read-only, so ChatGPT can look up your data but can't change anything in your account.
💡
If Sleeknote adds new tools, open the app under Settings > Apps and click Refresh so ChatGPT picks them up.
